Coffee enemas. What are they and should you do them?

Ever heard of a coffee enema? Sounds scary right?

A coffee enema is just as it says, specialised coffee used as an enema. I guess you might be wondering why you would put coffee up your bum and I’m going to dive deeper here so that you can be informed.

Coffee enemas have been used for centuries dating back to ancient Egypt around 1500 B.C. It was believed that doing coffee enemas cleansed the intestine to detoxify, as their belief was that accumulation of waste can lead to illness.

Coffee enemas didn’t gain interest till the 1900’s when Dr M.A. Cachot used it for a child with poisoning. It has been used for various conditions including constipation and shock.

In the early 2000’s, Max Gerson started using it in his holistic treatment for patients with cancer and degenerative diseases to help detoxify and support the liver. Gerson believed with a strict organic diet, supplements and regular coffee enemas were essential for healing.

Coffee enemas are controversial in modern medicine due to the lack of evidence, however if you talk to anyone who has/is doing coffee enemas you will find that the benefits are quite amazing.

Coffee enemas support your liver, which is our major organ that detoxifies our body from toxins that we are exposed to in everyday life. When the liver struggles you can have digestive issues, hormonal issues, skin problems and many more symptoms. The benefits of coffee enemas it that its boost your glutathione levels by up to 700%, which is our major antioxidant. It also can stimulate bile production which helps to clear out the gallbladder and liver. Stones/sludge can often be seen after a coffee enema.

Now I must admit I had been entertaining the idea for 6 months before I took the plunge to try a coffee enema. My motivation was that I had a flare in my liver enzymes and I couldn’t quite stabilise them. With the threat of another dose of steroids and immune suppressant on the horizon I took the plunge and ordered my first kit. I just jumped right in the took a 21 day challenge.

Now what happened in those 21 days surprised and horrified me. Along with the coffee enema I was also doing a more intense parasite cleanse and what I saw come out was quite surprising. Not only was I passing things that shouldn’t be in your body, my liver enzymes came down quite dramatically, not something it does when its starts to rise!

When doing coffee enemas it’s important to use a binder to help clear out toxins. When doing prolonged enemas rehydrate with electrolytes and a good probiotic.

Benefits of a coffee enema is clearing out worms, parasites, flukes, candidia, old stool, inflammation, clearing out the liver and gallbladder and can help chronic health conditions.

So now that I personally have seen the benefits of coffee enemas I do highly recommend them, especially if you are dealing with chronic issues.

The company that I bought my kit from is The Happy Bum Co. and if you are interested in purchasing an enema kit buy from here.

Detoxing properly is so important in our toxic world and coffee enemas are just a part of it, keeping all your detox pathways open regularly such as bowels (going everyday) kidneys and lymph are so important. Infared saunas, rebounding (jumping), exercise so that you sweat, drinking enough fluid, eat organic if you can and leave the processed foods at the supermarket, they will not benefit you in any way!

Coffee enemas may seem daunting, invasive and a bit intimidating but it’s really not that hard. Once you start to see the health benefits you wont look back!

Here’s to a healthier version of you,

In health
